MHEDS provides primary care services, health education, and many supportive resources for our diverse communities in the Erie, PA area. We serve local resettled refugees from many ethnic backgrounds, migrant and seasonal farmworkers, public housing residents, and individuals with limited access to health services. We also offer sliding fee discounts based on the federal poverty guidelines.

Who We Are

MHEDS has a caring staff representing many of the populations we serve, including, Bosnian, Bhutanese, Burmese, Congolese, Eritrean, Iraqi, Kurdish, Mexican, Puerto-Rican, Russian, Ukrainian, Somalian, Sudanese, and Vietnamese Our interpreters, case managers, nurses, medical assistants and other professionals assist patients with language and cultural navigation.


MHEDS's mission is to assist patients whenever possible, regardless of ability to pay. Our staff can help you locate programs and services at MHEDS or in the Erie area.
